The new Panerai Radiomir Firenze 3 days Accacio 47mm PAM00604, a limited edition exclusively available at the Florentine Panerai Boutique, is engraved with a motif that is recurrent in Tuscan history. For instance, the Florentine Lily, originating in 11^th century iconography, can be found on the case. It is part of the geometrical and floral motif, engraved into the case and crown.

Even though the Radiomir case is 47mm wide, it does not wear as large as one might expect. This is mostly because of the bar-style lugs which do not really jut out (as they do on the Radiomir 1940 case style). That means the lug-to-lug length on the watch isn't dramatically more than the case width. This, in addition to the flat caseback makes for an extremely comfortable fit on the wrist when it comes to the Radiomir 47mm case (which is water resistant to 100 meters).

On the dial is written "Firenze," the historic home of Panerai, and the location where all 99 pieces of this limited edition will be sold. Inside the PAM604 is Panerai's in-house caliber P3000, offering 72 hours power reserve.

The resulting looking of this hand-engraved Panerai is extremely cool, and though the size and ornate decoration are not to my personal tastes, there is no question that this piece adds a human element not found in most modern watches. Retail for the PAM604 is 17,000 euro.

It’s a solid and large 47mm watch that’s even though you’d think Panerai watches are usually medium cases unless they’re the diver models which are huge (just how I like them). It stands out a bit more than your average Panerai fake watch and I like it because it brings out a fresh look on a vintage model.

The transparent tachymeter scale on the sapphire crystal is illuminated from beneath by an aluminium ring filled with Super-LumiNova. At the heart of this chronograph is the exclusive OMEGA Co-Axial calibre 3330.
A quick search on Omega's Vintage Watches Database shows that the Speedmaster Mark II reference ST 145.014 was released in 1969 and came in a matte black dial or a "luminous grey with burgundy/orange scale." Compared to the original, the new Mark II (ref 327.10.43.50.06.001) is a bit bigger, with its visually-identical steel tonneau case now measuring 42.4 mm wide and 46.2 from hooded lug to hooded lug.
The dial is nicely lumed, and the new Omega Speedmaster Mark II goes a step beyond most Speedmasters by offering a luminous tachymetre scale. The tachymetre scale is a crucial element within the Speedmaster design and the Mark II approaches that design from an entirely new angle. The tachymetre scale is integrated around the edge of the anti-reflective sapphire crystal, thus allowing the numbers of the scale to be transparent. Beneath the crystal lies a bright orange metal ring, mostly obscured from view, that holds a luminous application directly below the transparent tachymetre scale.

The barrel-shaped stainless steel case measuring 42.4 mm in width and 46.2 mm in length features the most beautiful satin-brushed finish with alternating polished chamfers. While this watch doesn't feature a screw-down winding crown, the new crown feels very solid and slightly bigger than the crown fitted on its predecessor. The watch features pump pushers and a date corrector located at 10 o’clock on the case band. As you will be able to appreciate the attention to detail and finish of the watch is exceptional.

 

Omega Speedmaster Mark II Replica Watch

The other number is the sequential number and is linked to the model reference.

Like all other AP Royal Oak models, this Offshore Diver comes in a very nice looking wooden box with a small compartment in the carton box for the manual and warranty booklet.
